Grant writer/fundraising officer (volunteer position - part-time)

A unique volunteer opportunity exists within Architects for Peace for a Grant writer/Fundraiser to join our Melbourne team. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable professional in Resource Mobilisation with skills and expertise in identifying funding sources and writing grant proposals to secure vital funding for the organisation. Additionally, a candidate with the knowledge and ability to develop creative fundraising strategies and campaigns is also highly desirable.

Highly valued personal and professional qualities would see you as being driven, dedicated and creative with high-level written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to develop successful fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities:

  • Researching, identifying and sourcing suitable grant opportunities
  • Preparing and writing grant submissions
  • Developing fundraising ideas and strategies
  • Attending monthly team meetings and project meetings where required

Essential skills:

  • Experience in grant writing and submissions
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ideally have experience with a variety of types of fundraising
  • The successful candidate will be a team player who is passionate about social justice
