Architects for Peace Sydney at the Architecture Festival – 6 October 2008 at Customs House.

All members and friends in Sydney are invited to visit the Architects for Peace information booth at Customs Square during the Architecture Festival.

Architects for Peace will be sharing the space with colleagues from Architects without Frontiers and Engineers without Borders. The three organisations share similar goals and their different structures and activities can complement and reinforce each other.

The festival includes talks, tours, exhibitions and presentations, plus the strange but popular Iron Architect competition. It will be an architectureful day, with a primary aim of engaging the public in thinking about critical aspects of sustainability in the built environment.

As well as raising the profile of Architects for Peace in Sydney, the day will be a great opportunity for Sydney members to meet each other and hopefully start more regular meetings and activities. Pop in during the festival (10 am to 4 pm) for a chat, to buy a t-shirt or just to say hello…

If you’re interested in helping to organise things beforehand or participating during the festival, please send me an email: eva.rodriguez.riestra (at) gmail.com - otherwise, hope to see you there.
