Description
You are invited to a documentary screening and panel discussion that will delve in depth into the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict to raise money for the people of Gaza while also providing a platform for education and dialogue. Panelists include Yassir Morsi, Hussein Mohamud, Michael Shaik, MP from Australian Labour Party and more.
Over a thousand people have been killed during the recent crisis in Gaza and thousands more injured. Doctors in Gaza are struggling to treat the injured and are lacking essential medical supplies. The humanitarian situation is deteriorating by the day. Many of the already limited services like water and sewage are no longer functioning. There are also severe food shortages around Gaza.
All proceeds on the night will go directly to a hospital in Gaza.
Come with questions and be prepared for lively discussion.

Great to see you all at the fundraiser.
What a good documentary - a small story of these 2000 people expelled from their land seems to convey all what the English "democracy" is about. A telling account of the treatment of the Diego Garcia islanders as compared to the English in the Malvines island in Argentina!
It seems that there is enough enthusiasm for another fundraiser film night. Next time we will have tables with info, and more publicity on radio, as suggested by Karen - can you think of anything else? suggestions welcome...
