Architects For Peace's Nicole Mechkaroff (President) and Lorenza Lazzati (Secretary) shared the floor with Prof. Janet Stanley (University of Melbourne), Claire Edwards (GHD Engineering), Joyati Das (International Society of Urban Health) and Dr. Kris Hartley for Civic Playhouse Youth Perspectives on Public Space: the Inclusion Imperative chaired by Mia Davidson (EAROPH).
The session focused on two themes: Sustainable Environment & Livability and, Accessibility and Participation. Based on our work carried out over time, Architects For Peace's presentation reflected on the key roles of public space as multi-functional areas for social interaction, cultural expression and economic exchange.
Being a part of the congress was a meaningful experience, reinforcing the value in collaboration and knowledge sharing to avoid duplication and actively work towards fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals.
