Bohanna Ensemble:

Simon Charles, Kumar Shome, Scott McKendrick and Jamie Barlow gave a superb performance for the second annual Architects for Peace Under Construction Forum, October 2005 in Melbourne.

Bohanna had the crowd enticed for three hours, the architectural professionals, adults, and students, on their feet dancing to exhaustion. When the band concluded their set, they were greeted with roars of cheering for them to continue playing. It was difficult to stand by and not be inspired by their intoxicating music.

Working well with one another, Bohanna displayed stunning examples of improvisation and solo virtuosic talent. They present very good balance of instruments, creating spontaneous and innovative improvisational grooves.

Their music appealed to a very wide variety of musical tastes, their talent, skill and musicianship having their audience in constant enrapture. The music was easy to listen to, functioning well as background music, but also very well as a feature act, which was what they deservedly became.
